Clutch Noise

Well I have around 9500 miles on the SS/SC and 1 year old and I have my fun of it but by all means I don't launch it at anything over 1500 rpms but I do down shift to slow the car ( just a tendency from driving a motorcycle). I was driving the car back from lunch pulling into my work parking lot and into second gear when I hear this noise (because the windows were rolled down) that sounds like a flat tire or when it rains a lot and your rotors have some rust on them until you hit the brakes. I thought oh great I have a flat . So I check all the air pressure and they were all good. I came back from lunch so the rust on the rotor thing is out of the question. The noise went away when i went home from work that day. Today I was on a trip in the car and driving for around 1 hour and I down shifted and I hear the same noise again. I think that the clutch is dragging on the flywheel the noise went away again. My questions to anyone out there that has had the stock clutch go already is that did they hear this same noise before theirs went. Did the dealer ship replace yours . If not how much was the clutch and the install from the dealership. I have to go on a trip around five hundred miles in a couple of days and I don't want to chance it.
