Clutch pedal creaks????

My dealer is going to get tired of me soon.LOL My clutch pedal creaks when I depress (more so when I let it up) I can hear the creak and feel it on the pedal. It will not do it when its in neutral or when car is off. It does not do it all the time either. Any ideas?

Mine does that occasionally, haven't heard it since the weather warmed up though. The pivot point might need some lubrication.

Same noise hear. I believe its either the rubber boot around the clutch rod or internal to the clutch master cylinder.

Haven't got around to fixing it yet.

was driving by the dealer while it was doing it so i stopped to have them drive it around the lot(they acted like i was asking them to jump off a cliff) since i wanted them just to feel it while it was doing it. Some one agreed to drive it and he said " I cant feel anything" They said I could leave it but whats the point I he cant feel the problem how can they fix it? So I left and sure enough I FELT IT!! not to har to tell a smonth release of the cluch pedal and a rough one. It does feel like a dry bushing but that would not explaine why it only happens in gear and not when in neutral or when car is off.

My car had the exact same problem since like 2k miles. Just like your situation, every time I would go to the dealer, the pedal would feel normal again. Then a day later, the springy, creaky feeling would return. This happened off and on till maybe 10k miles, and now at 27k miles, it hasn't happened since lol.

Well dealer replaced clutch master cylinder and was fine for cpl weeks and now its back!!!!!! I called them to have them research the problem before i brought it back in. I called today and they said that i need to bring it back in to make sure the tech. insalled it right. BULLS***!! I am sure the guy did it right. Its doing the same thing as the original one did so does that mean GM put it in wrong too. what r the chances of both parts being faulty? I am getting tired of dealing with the turbo flutter (hopefully now fixed) and this creek. My dealer is being great its the people they have to answer to. I told them I wanted to directly talk to them or the # to the GM rep. so we will see. I CANT BELIEVE THEY CLAIM THAT GM HAS NO REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM FROM ANY OTHER DEALERS!!!! I have found a bunch here who have taken theirs in for this problem so do those dealers not count? I know my car is not the only one but they seem to think so. Wish me luck!!

I'm glad you understand the problem with GM these days.

I've just been dealing with the same clutch noise since my last post... and basically since the car was new.

I've done this because I'm both lazy and because the rubbing noise happens right around the bite-point of the clutch so its a nice little signal to my foot of where the clutch is.

I just don't care anymore... heheh. Same thing the creaking sunroof. I'll replace the assembly before it goes out of warranty.

I wonder how many other people have this problem and either dont notice it or are just living with it?

Try a silicone spray on the boot where the clutch goes thru the firewall. Silicone spray won't damage the rubber boot, grease will.
