a diff 5 lug swap

a good buddy of mine has a turbo'd cavy and we were at the garage bs'n and what not and was thinking if cavy hubs will fit on the cobalt converting it to 5x100, looks like it should bolt up, but wondering if the cobalt axles will fit the cavy hubs? and than run cavy rotors and drums.

anyone ever try?

If you are gonna go thru the hassle of totally swapping out the brake system, then why not at least get one with rear discs

Might. It. E worth the trouble, even if the hubs bolt up. You'll probably end up having to make custom axles. Better off just swapping to the 5x110 if you wanna keep the rear drums.

I'm in the process of getting parts together for the swap, was able to get wheels and front calipers from a friend for $200, just picked up a set of tires for $200, looking at about another $400 for hubs and what ever I decide for from pads and rotors. Not sure which ones I want yet. Got a price on rear drums of $45 each, don't have to change shoes cause they are all the same.

Maybe after 07, but in 06 abs was like a $965 option. My cars ONLY option was a rear spoiler. I got crank windows, manual locks, and no abs. But I got AC and a cd player, that was standered.
