exedy hypersingle installed, p0300?

all i can say is the clutch is awesome, perfect install, works mint.
but im throwing p0300, now i have a meth kit (trunk mount) and some of the lines and grounds were messed up, so the shop cleaned it up for me, and wired everything in a nice professional manner, but could this be something that could cause the code?
it only happens when im idleing for a bit.

Try clearing it to see if it comes back. Also check your plugs since it's the ignition misfire code. Most likely the meth kit is doing it and not the clutch if anything.
Also, what size is you meth jet? You might be blowing out the spark

i just changed my plugs b4 the clutch.
eveything was fine there.
i havnt gave it wot yet with the new clutch, still breaking her in a tad.
its a misfire under idle usually that pops up here and there.
sometimes the light dosnt show, so im checking my areoforce every so often.
i havnt sprayed since i had the clutch installed.

Hmmmm.... Is the checkvalve failing and allowing the vacuum to pull the meth past it? Where is your jet located at? Also, do you have a progressive kit or the boost switch?

Sorry for digging this thread up but I am having the same exact problem. Before anybody tells me to check my plugs, afr, or if I am getting any knock I have checked all this already. It started after the clutch. Lsjwannabe from OTT told me to do a case relearn again b/c of weight difference b/w clutches. What you guys think?

bumpity bump

Come on ppl dont just look....HELP!!!

Trying a crank variation relearn may help.

but the fact of the matter is that this is a main reason why I dont like or recommend lightweight flywheels. The weight of the flywheel is a known quantitiy when tuning and setting up parameters for P0300 diagnostics. reducing flywheel/clutch mass a great deal make the engine idle rougher.....Ive said this for a while on more than one forum.....and this is what happens when you alter idle quality.

You may need to change P0300 diagnistic criteria if you can with a tune. Dont know if you can.

Maven has it spot on. Your rotating assembly is off because of the lightweight flywheel. May be able to tune your way out of it, but more than likely you are just going to have to disable P0300 with HPT. Log misfires to make sure it's not destroying plugs, but it really isn't going to hurt anything...

Ive got almost 100 miles on my Exedy Hypersingle, Idles fine and no codes yet. I do know for a fact that the tech did a clutch relearn a couple of times (one before the zzp rod and one after)

Maven is the clutch learn associated with the BCM or the ECM? If its ECM, i have to have them do another one for my trifecta/superchips ECU

i did none of that with my exedy no issues no how...fyi...

I will ask Distillion what he found out on the codes, he comes by here on a regular basis (his v.hot gf lives near here lol ) Meth installs really need the check valve hard against the nozzle, if any meth gets on the MAF its kablammo!

Talked to D. he cant remember much and we are all undecided wtf. Check meth install is all I can suggest... or pm Maven he will know or try ******************* to contact him

Dude, there are a ridiculous amount of variables here. Did it appear right after the clutch install? How many other things have you changed since Vince tuned your car?

Same story here. Install aftermarket clutch and light flywheel and p0300 pops up in the first 30 miles and will flash constant at idle. Raised the idle speed alittle bit and it went away for 2 weeks...then came back like before I raised the idle.

I get them at idle also but its not often now that cat warm up is enabled. It had a rough idle with cold starts but now its great.

That's the thing Idk the dealer fixed the injetors finally after 2weeks but the light came back on. Runs fine with no problem guess I'll have to take it back to the dealer but they said it's the after market clutch but I don't see how and I'm on stock fly wheel. I want to know before I get a tune back on it
