Regal GS 6spd swap into Cobalt?

The car is barely out but knowing how GM tries to reuse parts out of the parts bins, anyone know if the new Regal GS 6spd tranny will bolt up to an LNF? Might be a cheap way to get a 6spd instead of going the Quaife route.

Not without a **** ton of work, if it's even possible at all. It's a variant of the FGP F40 IIRC. I know someone was trying to make it work on an LSJ-powered Atom, but I don't remember what the final outcome was. You're probably looking at the same if not slightly more expensive than the Quaife option if it can even be done. For damn sure not just a bolt-up-and-go job.
