Hello, I just bought a 2005 SS/SC, and wanted to know if it had a LSD, so I went the industrial park and found out that I have (2) marks. However, on the option code sticker in the trunk, I see no G85 option. Did they offer the LSD under another option code, or do I have an aftermarket LSD, or just an f'ed up open?

Open diffs spin both wheels.

Whatever wheel has the least amount of resistance will spin.

If both have equal amounts of resistance then both will spin.

Easy way to tell...Do you have Recaros?

Yes > You have LSD (unless someone swapped the seats)

No > You don't have LSD (unless someone switched the seats)

Plus I believe it says LSD on the tranny somewhere

Ok I just went and looked...On the drivers side by the fuse box. If you look straight down on the tranny there is a black metal tag with a bar code (you may have to move a few wires to see it) it has a GM symbol on the bottom left corner (if your standing on the drivers side of the car looking towards the passenger side) and on the top left hand corner it will say LSD and then some numbers. If the tag doesn't have LSD on it than you have an open diff...
