I know this was possible with my old car which had a square design (motor not trans.), but what about the ones on these? I don't see why you wouldn't be able to flip the trans. mounts 45* from the factory spot for a stiffer setup.

I was thinking of spraying the crap out of the mounts with WD-40 and maybe sticking them into a vice or keeping it on the car to rotate. Similar to this: http://www.regalgs.org/forum/viewtop...r+mounts+video

Thoughts? I figured if no one had input on this I would give it a shot someday at work and report back.

 

Have you seen inserts for our cars? Our mounts are circular. so no matter how you turn the mount it'll be the same.

Actually, I guess the stock mount aren't solid. so actually it may work. but if you want more solid feeling I have a set of Intense Racing Inserts that I'd sell you for $40 shipped($60 original).

 

I actually got looking at our mounts and noticed a 45* turn would probably work better. You're right.

well have you ever looked at the mounts the solid part goes up and down
if you coujld turn it so that it goes front to back and get it to not turn back it would make it more stiff

 

Yes, I got them for my 2.2 hoping they would fit(before the prothane mounts came out) it turns out the 2.0 inserts are smaller than the 2.2 ones.
