GMPP Clutch Part numbers and supporting parts
GMPP Clutch Part numbers and supporting parts
So what else do I need? I'm also confused about the flywheel. Will the LNF flywheel work? I don't think it will but if it does is there any benefit? The LSJ flywheel is much cheaper anyway.
Clutch itself 19212712
Flywheel Bolt 11570626
Cobalt Clutch Pipe 24422067
LSJ Flywheel 12584343
LNF Flywheel 12612794
Also how is this clutch on the street? Does it need to slip alot and/or need to be heated up to function properly?

Good word...did you replace the flywheel or was yours so new that it didn't need to be replaced?
you should resurface your flywheel or get a new one your choice. fyi I just lucked out and found a brand new flywheel on ebay for $50 shipped cause no one bid on it. New they are $100+
Right on. I'll probably just snag one since a resurface will cost some dough too....I'll keep my eye open on ebay for one, but if I don't see one relatively soon I'll just snag a new one.
depends on your power and what you plan on doing with the car. I installed mine and it was fine, but when i installed my rotated mounts and road race the car the clutch slips in the turns. and i had my flywheel resurfaced for 20 bucks, but im also a tech and my buddy did it

You get slippage even with the GMPP clutch? Wow....you have some serious power adders? I don't see anything on there that would put you above 300 WHP....reason I went with WHP I've heard of folks running that much power through this clutch without problems. Using it for street and drag without a hitch...I wonder if it would slip in autoX[/QUOTE]
thats the time when it started slipping on me. I ran at the strip without the mounts and ran the 13.1 on only my third pass. I also installed an LSD transmission when i did my swap. Then i put my mounts in, and at langley speedway while in the turns under hard acceleration yes it was slipping bad on me. But i also placed first and won A main so i had to keep hot lapping the car as well. Even maxim on here with the turbo swapped lsj said these clutches dont like heat. Im at about 284whp, and with the lsd, the mounts and the added stress from being in the turns it slips. But i also drive my car alot harder than alot of people on here

Good word....I see you are running a 2.7 anything else other than CAI header downpipe and exhaust? Also contemplating a set-up similar to that with this clutch...perhaps this clutch isn't for me...
Also when you say mounts you talking about the mounts from the wheel hop and axle kit from GMPP?
