Got the clutch replaced

I put my car in the shop to get my clutch replaced. I went with a Exedy OEM clutch and replaced everything but the fly wheel, well my dad goes and picks up the car and brings the car home and he's all bitching at me because its hard to steer and he's blaming that on me for installing my lowering springs...... THEY DIDN'T PLUG THE FREAKING POWER STEARING BACK IN. So I fix that problem, but the other problem is that the clutch pedal has no pressure, so the guy says well just bring it back in and we'll rebleed the clutch.

So a day goes by and they rebleed the clutch twice. I go to pick it up and test drive is and the clutch feels great. Then about 2 miles before the shop I lose pressure again, so the guy says he'll have to look at the "system" and see what he needs to do...... GAH just freaking give me my car back already!!!!!!

Did you have the slave cylinder replaced with the clutch?

currently having the same problem, these cars are a pain to bleed I hear. Took them 3 times to get it right the first time I had it done. Not sure if it's the same issue this time but hopefully that's all it is and I don't have to replace the slave.

lucky for you, I changed my clutch and now my steering is all fucked up... there's a clunk when I turn sometimes.. and I'm not sure but I think my power steering get weak sometimes but most of the times it's good... the mechanic is blaming everything on the passenger side control arm.. told me something about a rubber being torn or something.. but I feel it have something to do with my steering...

Well was it screwed up before you took it in?!

And I think the clunk is a common thing. I have heard it in my car about 4 times since I have had it, "about a year" and from what I read its no big deal.

Also the power streaing situation is probably because our power steering is electrical and Speed sensitive.

Take a look at this, its the procedure they "the mechanics" should take to replace the clutch.

And I think this should be a sticky!!!!!!

Hopefully you don't have the same problem I did, I had a leaking slave cylinder (was a brand new one from GM too).

Check where your engine block and transaxle meet at the bottom, and see if there is any brake fluid there. If there is, you might have a bad slave cylinder.

If your lucky, it just needs better bleeding.

Had the EXACT same thing happen to me as you. Mine was brand new, straight from the CED.

Well that's what I am hoping to. Considering the shop didn't know how to plug the power steering back in I'm assuming they aren't doing a good job of bleeding it.

If there is no pressure there is either air in the line or your leaking Dot fluid. If the reservoir isn't going down then it's air. When you bleed the system Dot fluid will run into the opening for the line to the TOB. It will leak out of the bellhousing and appear that you have a damaged TOB. Maybe they don't know where to bleed it?
