Grinding noise...

When I turn left with the clutch engaged, I get a horrible grinding noise, and lately when I'm just engaging into first and giving it a little gas, it sounds like something metal is flopping around and then everythings fine. Sounds like something isn't clicking right, not to mention my shifter feels like its in tar... Any ideas/comments? I had two dealerships tell me nothing's wrong, so I have an appointment with a third one on tuesday.

If they void my warranty for abuse or some stupid sh*t, would it be possible to swap another M86(2.4L tranny) or MU3(2.0L tranny) into the car? How expensive might it be?

Also, maybe not drivetrain related but - i've been hearing excessive squeaking from the car while driving. is it because it's cold out or do we just have sh*tty factory lubrication?

I'm really worried about it. The dealer I'm going to works on a friend of mine's car, Doc. he says they wont void my warranty for a shortthrow or anything as long as it wasn't the cause. This dealer is apparently more lax than Rk or Bay...

the squeaking is probably because its just so damn cold. mine is doing it a lot too. the clutch problem kinda sounds like an actuator problem or a linkage problem

I wouldnt say its a clutch problem, i've never slipped, even when its 15 outside and im putting more power down, my tires just jump (even with the ETD). My clutch is fine, it's more like its coming from the right side of the car, maybe the axle? I heard they use gears now instead of boots and such. Maybe a gear is wrong or stripped? And sometimes the transmission wont let me get into a gear, its like I hit a wall, but then its fine once I try again. Usually under hard acceleration, but Im good with the clutch work.
