Help removing shifter cable link

i cant get passed step 5, where is says"carefully pry out the shifter cable link tabs with a flathead screwdriver. lift and slide out the cable link and seperate from cables. repeat on both cables." i cant seem to get this step to work please help.....

HELP i cant even get my car to go back to stock......... ...

are you trying to remove the grey clip from the cable to the shifter?

Use your fingers! Reach under the clip toward the front part of the car. Then interlock your fingertips and pull the tab slightly foward and up. It's that easy.
