help with transmission diagnosis

So I recently had a new clutch installed and a differential swap done. Its my daily driver and well broken in since work was done. im guessing the linkage broke at the transmission. I didnt get to look into it because I was on my way to work when it died so I had it towed home and took my other car and as I sit at work im trying to figure it out. Google isnt much help or perhaps I dont know the correct search term.

Ok the problem is i was going through the gears getting on an on ramp anyways I went from 2nd to third and it wouldnt engage, I let off the clutch tried again and it went in. Then I went to fourth did the same and this time it wouldnt shift anywhere. I rolled it to a stop tried finding first or second and found out my shifter could move from 1st all the way over to fifth and back down to second without anything between it. Just kind of floating there.

any idea as to what is broken ? Thanks for any help you can provide.

it could be a broken linkage roll pin, however im guessing the adjustment on the shifter cables is loose, or you broke a shifter cable.

I pulled the cup holders out and saw the cables moving around just didnt Catch anything. Im a little relieved and hopeful now. Stomach sunk when it happened and of course its the middle of a heat wave. Car is a 2010 ss so now I need to find a guide to replace or repair it.

thanks for your replies.

Well after some digging found that I had sheared my roll pin. Figured it was broke on one end and it finally gave out. Ive been seeking locally and all the ones from auto parts shops look cheap. Anyone happen to have a link as to where I can buy 5 or 10 high quality roll pins, Something that will last. I found another thread after I determined what was wrong and it seems as if the ones sold at chain stores dont even last a month.
