This is what the shifter should look like, roughly but I don't have pics of it installed.

When you pull out the stock shifter assembly, lay it beside the Hurst and take a pic so we can see the difference in length....

Here we go..............
Stocker
Stocker in process of being removed
Hurst going in
Hurst is in!
YA!
Install was easy!
The really hardest part was getting the stock knob off and snapping the cable back on the new stick hub bottom
Shift is nice for sure!

Just curious, what advantages does an aftermarket shifter like a B&M or Hurst offer? Smoother shifts? It doesn't look any shorter is why I ask. Its possible the pics are responsible for that though.

That looks great man. It could be shortend another 1.5" with the same trick I used on my B&M too if anyone is interested. Very nice though. Oh, did the Hurst one come with the bushings to replace the rubber ones that support the entire shifter assembly?
Here's a comparo from yours to mine (Remember I shortened my B&M an extra 1.5"s):

I do have to agree the Hurst Knob does look badass.
