I finally took the transmission out of the RedLine today and discovered that the seal on the slave cylinder and the bearing seal into the transmission wasn't leaking, but that my case did in fact have a crack in it. It happened when I blew my clutch up but none of us thought to look for cracks anywhere. Sure enough there is one and it's just big enough to **** all the fluid out of the transmission. It is not structural and doesn't look like it would ever get bigger. Just a piece of metal hit it just right to crack it. Obviously GM won't warranty the transmission, but I am not about to drop $2,200 on a new one. Just something for you all to look forward to and another reason to stand by my motto...a clutch is your first mod ALWAYS.

 

Ouch. Time to get that welded up.
