increasing problem!!!

i have been having this problem when i push my clutch in all the way it won't go into gear but if i let it out about a 1/2 inch it goes right in!....and almost always it grinds when going into 4th... as well as i can just be at a stop light with it in first with the clutch pushed in all the way and i let go of the brake a lit and i will start moving forward which is way weird!!!!

i have tried searched and haven't seen anybody with the same problem!

take a peak under your dash, and under your clutch pedal. If the rod is bent, that solves your problem

if you have a stock clutch the diaphragm fails generally first. One of the symptoms is that if you push it all the way in it the spring fingers fold back on itself. So pushing in half way can still get disengagement. There are only fractions of an inch of movement - engaged/disengaged.

Solutions: CED for a GMPP clutch and an LNF TOB....

thats as good an internet diagnosis I can offer...

i changed my tranny fluid out today and come to find out we think it is my syncros!!! the fluid was all milky with the red tint and had a metallic look to it so we are ripping it apart soon to make sure so i may try to get a lsd if i can since it will be apart...you think that would be a good idea?

so the dealership called me today and i just decided to go down there and look at everything as well...they told me that it was the slave cylinder that was bad and they said that the slave cylinder was having a hard time pushing the pressure plate...i looked at the TOB and it had the green boot (isn't that the original?) So they quoted me 1488.46 to get this replaced and put it back together....i was like wtf!!!! they say that i need an OEM pressure plate but can keep my clutch disk, plus resurface my flywheel, new slave cylinder, and 8.5 hours labor!

you think there is any way around it? i don't think that there is cuz it is all apart already but should i just buy the parts myself for cheaper on CED? i don't really have the money to fix it but it has to be done so i can get to work

I have an LNF pressure plate & TOB if you can use it. It has 30k miles on it but it's yours for $250 shipped with the LNF TObearing. Disc too if you want it. It held up to ~350 wtq on mine, I just needed more holding power.

it wasn't because i had an aftermarket clutch and that is what caused the problem...according to them but i think that it was just cuz the TOB was the older one with the green boot... kinda sucks...i was able to get the price down to 1100 but still that is a **** ton of money that i don't have
