I'm pretty positive I have the brace installed properly but I'm getting a messed up noise in the low rpm's like the metal scrapping noise, so I pulled it off. Anyone else experience this?

^^^ Yes I have that noise too , even without the metal washers and the O-rings installed where they should be . Its not as bad without the washers though now . By design I dont see how it could be totally quiet .

K good I'm glad I'm not the only one, but what exactly is making the noise?

I'd be willing to bet the bracket on the engine side is scraping against the motor mount.

DO NOT USE THE METAL WASHERS!!! They were thrown in there by mistake.

i have the same problem at low rpms.. but it is a very low metal sound.. not noticeable unless the radio is completely off..

did you have 2 0-rings or 4? mine came with 2 and im am having a suspicion this is why we here the sound because there are still 2 sides with no 0-rings

the ball bearing side with no 0-ring against the metal plate doesnt seem safe to me unless i put the o-rings on the wrong side.. but in that essance the instructions i received were f'ed up..
i just dont see having o-rings on the bolt "head" side and not on the inside between the ball and bracket is good

NO NO NO..

It will not fit the 2.4's and redlines.. right now it has ONLY been tested and installed on 05+ 2.0 s/c'd ss's..it will LIKELY fit the 2.2's but there is an issue if you have a factory air intake and it not clearing the damper...

BTW we do not have a tech named tom?

For those with the Ingalls dampner... Can you launch at higher rpm's now that you don't wheel hop?

It may not been tom, maybe tod but I called yesterday from here at work got a receptionist gave me to another guy. I asked him if this was going to fit all the models he assured me that it was tested on all models… I did not make this up and can only go off of what your company information can provide me.

Sure if you want a smokey burnout. You'll have traction issues now, but no wheelhop. Get better tires, and you'll be set.

ok i just got mine and i already have a **** load of problems, please someone help me.....
1) I only got the mounts and the hardware, the torque brace didnt come in the box, did anyone else's arrive in seperate boxes/seperate days?
2) I cant get the bolts off the engine mount, did anyone use anything other than a socket wrench? I cant get the bolts to budge from their spot
3) I cant get the chasis bolts off either, there is a screw comming up the middle of the nut which makes it difficult as well as not having any room for leverage
*If anyone has any help with any of these questions please help me, im dying over here*

1.Torque bracer should be in the box (mine all arrived in 1 box together)
2. You need a breaker bar.. i used a 1/2 ratchet with about a 3 foot bar on the end to break the nuts
3. You only take off the 2 outside bolts and leave the center bolt along.. i had no problem with doing these or any of the nuts for that matter.. just get a breaker bar and Deep well sockets make it a little easier

Did you get this from us? We normally check every box to make sure all the parts are included. PM me if you did we will check on what is going on.

Ok sorry for the confusion but it DOES NOT fit all models. feel free to give me an email..

I was there during the testing of them and it was tested on an 05 colbalt ss 2.0 s/c'd.. we haven't even had a 2.2 or 2.4 in here to test yet..

robs@ingallseng.com

I will have I.T. department change the listing so that it just says colbalt ss 2.0's

Did it come in an Ingalls box?
Where did you get it from?

how was it shipped? was the package opened when you got it?

they all are packaged in 1 box so there is not going to be a seperate box...

Contact the people that you bought it from..

If you bolt both brackets to the car and you hold the torque brace up against it and you can see the brace is 1/2 an inch longer then the holes in the brackets what is the proper way to fix that?

when you got it from the factory they probably had it on a high setting, i dont have mine yet im still waiting for it to come in the mail. But if i had a guess its just set to high, twist it so its a little shorter and you can fit it in snugly, but than again its just my guess, wait until someone who knows what there saying who actually has it answer your question
