I have never seen a pic of the tranny side install??????

Is the price quoted for both sides? Or do you have to buy 2??

The dual brace includes both the topside mount pictured in my thread and this one below. If you buy a single brace you get whichever one you pick.

Looks good. What keeps the braket from rotating on the bolt?

You know I had that question on the redline forums and I passed it to the engineer who designed it and he private messaged the guy. I'm going to get that answer for you and i'll get RIGHT back to you!

He's been running it on his car since we came out with it. My car is in storage until next Friday.

He said that the torque of the bolt actually keeps it in place. He's been drag racing with it (how he blew his motor) and auto x'ing and he said it hasn't moved any on him. He said if you're concerned (and you don't need to be) you can drill a hole and put a pin through it.

Like I said..he's an engineer for a steel plant and a lot of your guys know him. Name's Rice Eater on redline forums. He's never steered me wrong.

hope that helps!

Im not convinced yet. I rather get wheelhop than put something like that on my car. If your unsure just wait. The solution is yet to come.

PS. Is it just me or are vendors getting kinda negative on these posts lately?

Like I said...a lot of guys have been running this on the track and I haven't had any problems with it. I thought maybe the torque brace bolt went in somewhere on the Tranny but since I haven't installed the rear on my vehicle yet (next Friday) I couldn't answer it for you. That's why I let an engineer take care of the design aspect. You can contact him on the redline forums if you have any doubt or questions. Rice Eater is his name and like I said...Cobalts were with us in Indiana last march when we pulled this out. It's been working well.

As for the negativity issue, I'm an individual like the rest of you and if someone attacks me I defend myself. I'm honest and fair and there's no need to make a scene if you have an issue. Just talk to me, we'll work it out.

I stated a fact of my own experience. There was no bashing.

I never said you were vita, infact the only person associating torque forward with vita is you. My reply was a direct response to the question posted by JCM.

I have the JBP control arm bushings and the ZZP passenger side poly mount. I still have wheel hop. I am going to go with the intense front and rear mounts for $99 unless the Torque Forward is less for the two damper setup.

The bottom dampner is in the middle of the eng/trans torque area. You STILL need one at the tranny end on the drivers frame rail. It does not good to put a mount on only half the rotation axis. My opinion from expierence.

Now design one for the other end and you have a nice set-up

I have the ZZP Billet Engine Mount and the ZZP front tranny mount. I now have virtually no wheel hop. The car was louder on the inside and did have some awful vibrations inside too. But that wore off after a month. There still are some minor vibrations, but I will definatly live with it for the results that I got.

We've got it bolted right up to the two tranny mounts. Good enough for Saturn engineers as a bracing point should be good enough to add more to. That's as far over as we can really go with it. You can see the frame rail or engine cradle in the pic (can't tell which one it is from the pic.)

From what I can see on the torque forward dual setup, they are going to take care of damping the rotational moments along the cross car axis. Since our engines are mounted transverse, this is the axis that the overwhelming majority of loading will occur (torque moments from the changing torque of the rotation of engine and driveline). Cynic, I know you are not an engineer, so be aware that on this car, the engine cradle is the frame rails in the front of the car.

if you were in wheel hop, you probably broke a differential.
