Left axle stuck (any ideas)

My left axle is stuck inside the trans. It seems like the lock ring is stuck in the spline. What i've done: Take a flat head to the axle, hit it, turned the wheel, and repeated those steps. Then pulled the right axle out of the trans and the mid staft. i can see the inside the left axle from the right side, i tried(even tho it was dumb to try) hit it from the right inside of the trans. and cant get a good hit. but when i hit the screw driver, it makes a soild sound( its not going any where).. If any1 has ran into this problem or have ideas lmk.. Thanks

i bought the ottp stage 1 axles which there garbage.. The right one snapped on me a while ago and sent a pic of the axle, to the guys at ottp.. and they said they never seen a axle snap before like that.. So they said they wouldnt warrenty the axle.. So i went back to zzp and never had a issue with their stage 1 axles.. But the left axle is ottp and snapped on me. it let loose when i turned out of the gas station.. The same F*cking way as the right one snapped.. So its the lock ring and jammed.. All i can say is from the experience i had with ottp.. they suck horribly.. I'm still waiting on that phone call when they get those stage 1 axles in again( over 2 years ago).. hahaha I'm staying with only zzp products.. Had zero issues with there products..

Damn it sounds like its stuck in there good. I read somewhere that if a lock ring is stuck, something to try is push the axle in as hard as you can and then pull out on it really quickly. The theory is that it releases the rings when you push it in and if you pull quick enough they don't have the chance to lock back into place

Ight I'll try that. Next step I can think of is to heat the axle up till its cherry red and try to bang it out. But that's chancing to warp the tranny.

Nothing's working!!! What about removing the plate behind the axle with the 5 torque bolts.

the best way to get an axle out is to pry between the axle and the tranny case and hit the axle cup with a hammer. the theory is that the pressure on the ridge on the side gear in the tranny wont let the axle clip pop out, however the shock will cause it to deflect and it will pop out. ive done this hundreds of times, works flawless 99% of the time.

Have you tried turning the axle and prying on it all the way around?

Edit: Nvm, idiot moment. Didn't see where you said that. Only option I have for you is to have someone take the trans apart and then maybe they can press on the ring and get it out.
