why do you think you need the LSD? I had an 04 redline without it and i was always kickin myself for not getting it. I have it in the 07 and there is absolutely no difference except for when you punch the gas in the corner.... it's scary the first few times how hard it pulls back to the inside. I see no other reason to have it except for hard acceleration in the corners.

I have it on my 07
and yeah it is like something u need or make a huge performance difference but like said earlier you do feel it pull alot when cornering
and its kind cool for me to be the part of the few who have LSD and no Recaro

We carry them at www.TurboTechRacing.com They are manufactured by Quaife, which is the same company that makes them for GM, so it will be the same thing as if you purchased the G85 package. They retail for $995.00 but we sell them for less than that, if you would purchase one through us (prices are on www.TurboTechRacing.com)

not worth the price... no difference on straight aways... i raced my brother we have identical mods except i dont have lsd... ZERO gain... even all the way up, and at the track we were runnign exact times

on corning it would make a difference

cost to add it though would be 1000 for the lsd plus probably anouth 600-1000 in labor... NOT easy to do at all, and very time consuming

You can only put so much power to the ground through ONE tire...

Not worth the price??

Maybe not for everyday drivers and such.... but if you do any competitive driving, like Autocrossing or roadcourses, you need it. If you have more power than stock I'd recommend it as well.

One thing I heard from the GM autocrossers @ nationals this fall was that they recommended NOT adding it into your existing tranny, but to find a used or rebuilt tranny with it already done. I was told it's a tricky unit to get right and that unless you know a top notch tranny tech it can not be a fun install.

Just going by what I heard. I for one... am sourcing out a new tranny for my -non-LSD car for autocrossing.

if you do any kind of competative racing other than in a straight line....
or you really enjoy being spirited in the corners all the time.....
it would be an awesome mod.

for a regular daily driver, who likes to straight line drag?
waste of $$$ IMO

Wait until you put about 280+ to the wheel, then you will understand why you need LSD

yeah agreed, if a daily driver then no point at all but like me if you have fun around some corners then its worth it once u feel it kick in and pull you out of the turn

I've had an 04 with no LSD, an 07 with the LSD and also driven another 07 without it. I cannot tell a difference between any of the cars going straight down the road no matter what I do (aside from cranking the wheel and punching the gas). The 07's have quite a bit more done to them than the 04 did and I still don't see a difference. I'm sure the equal length half shafts have quite a bit to do with that.... but as far as the "one tire fire" problem I have yet to experience it in a straight line on the street or the track.
