LNF Tranny on LSJ?

Has anybody swapped out the LSJ transmission for a LNF transmission? I know the gears are wider, and I'm wondering if that helps with traction in 1st and second, and also wondering if it would work well in the long run.

why? 4.05 is way cooler. depends on the application but if you're gonna get into it that much might as well say screw a stock gearbox.

Yes, they're interchangeable. It's a matter of personal preference. I'd rather have the 4.45 final drive from the Grand-Am Cup cars.

i would not want that trans with the stock blower. the gears are much wider and it's going to fall out of power band.

Aware of this, just looking for options down the road. A: I've heard that the LNF trans is much stronger, and B: if I'm going to build my motor how I want to, it will have plenty of power to push those wider gears.

Only difference is the final drive... and we need all the gear we can get. Tires and suspension moss are where you'll see the traction increase..

It's not stronger. It's the exact same trans, just a different ratio final drive. Your car will be slower with it because of the final drive difference.

The gears are not wider, it's the same thing with a lower final drive ratio.
