I wanted to upgrade my auto transmission,there's not much out there for performace/to prevent breakage.I was thinking buying used one and taking it in to a shop,what should I want to upgrade on it?I don't know anything about transmission upgrades I never did one.
I have 2009 hhr ss,and it's tuned just want it to be reliable as the trans seems like the weak link that's sometime going to break.I want auto,not 5 speed upgrade any ideas?
Any input would be great.thanks.

 

Getting upgraded clutches and look for a shift kit. Servos also help shifting and work wonders. I have not found any off those parts online for pur trans. But I have a friend that builds transmissions and knows how they work. He is currently looking into parts for my 09 g5 trans. I'll post any info I get here for you to know after he gets back to me.

He told me he could get upgraded clutches and servos for the sunfire trans but idk if its the same as ours. Looks different

 

KEEP me updated,there is a few out here are looking to upgrade but can't get any help,your help would be appreciated,I think the auto trans is weak link when tuned.
I guess I would have to get retuned,shift kit would throw things off as far as tune goes.
