Manually shifting an auto. Ok to do often?
If you're driving a stick with a turbo and you don't powershift (aka let off the throttle while shifting) your going to vent boost.
if they care that much then they wouldn't be racing. and even if they lose boost between shifts, most cars unless the turbo is huge are going to build that boost back fast as hell anyways. it doesn't really make that much of a difference either way. i just think it's a silly argument for justifying buying an auto car.
dont go off just numbers, budd... the manual trannys can handle quite some power.

BTW... as a total side not if you type AH into google images and then continue searches by an adding an H after each search its amazing some of the pics that come up. personally my favorite pages so far are Ahhhhhh and

that's exactly what it is. also, like stated, it weighs more. when you have a car putting down 12x whp, even a little extra weight will hurt performance.
Hack was that a shot at me? I didnt think the manuals hit 5th on the 1/4 track. isn't the peak of their power in 4th? I didn't think the Cobalts had enough time on a 1/4 track to hit 5th
the manual isnt an auto with a 5th gear tacked on, ALL the gears are different.
The gears in the manual are shorter, therefore providing better acceleration.
