Mechanical or Electrical?
I have an 06 LS with 245K on it. Several months ago the AT went out and I swapped in a junkyard version with reportedly 26K on it. It ran fine for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden it started acting up.
On the first drive of the day at the first stop that I come to it doesn't seem to want to go back to neutral. When I apply the brake at the stop sign 6 blocks from my house the car shakes and attempts to keep going forward. A few times it has even died when this happens. It doesn't matter the temp outside or how long I let it warm up. After that first stop, I do not have the problem again.
Some days when shifting it feels like it drops or slams into gear. It does this in all gears. In first gear at times it seems really sluggish to want to move. This is not a constant problem. Some days it drops/slams into gear and some days it drives fine. Some days it takes off out of first just fine.
Can anybody give me some technical help?
