Modding a STS

I was just thinking about this, would there be any way to mod a short throw shifter?? I know they ruduse the throw by about 33% anyone know if or how it could be done? I don't think that's enough... Maybe it is, I don't have one. I just know the stocker sucks and I want my throws mega shorter.

IMO, the TWM is all you need however, it is very pricey for just a shifter.

id like to take a hurst sts and add a weighted knob to it if at all possible. i believe that would feel 100 times better than stock.

There would be no real way to modify a STS to have shorter throws unless you mess with the bend in the shaft (that's what shortens the throw). A common way people think they can shorten throw is by sawing down the shifter itself, that does nothing to reduce throw either.

So I would just buy a STS and see how you like it, 33% helps a lot, trust me.
