New Clutch :) Need some help
New Clutch :) Need some help
hey everyone. just order a new clutch for my cobalt and the guy i was talking to said i might need to replace the throwout bearing. can some please help me out and tell me where i can find it?? n how much it'll be.
you have to get it from GM, there is no aftermarket TOB. And it's dirt cheap from what I'm told, so don't sweat it. But you'll have to go into a GM dealer and into the Parts Dept.
And, yes, I would definitely replace the TOB if you're doing clutch. Mine didn't take too much abuse from me.

Off topic but, what clutch did you go with and why? (stock clucth slipping?)
and by actuator do you mean slave cylinder?

ok so for throwout bearing and the actuator i have to get it from the dealership or gmpartsdirect??
and i have another question. i got my clutch in already but the other day i was driving and i decided to rip on it and the clutch didn't slip. i did it a few times and it didnt' slip once. i dunno why because a month or 2 ago it would slip. but now today i was driving and it felt like it slipped, wasnt sure and i didnt try it again because i had gotten to work already and had to go in. now i dunno if i should get it changed yet or not.
