No gears? Transmission help

I was driving down the road the other day w/o any problems.
Then i took the car out of gear and when i went to put it into the next, did not seem to have any vertical tension.
I can push the gear into the first position w/o engaging the clutch and slide it right across third and fifth.....while the car is running.
It will not engage into any gear.
Any one have this problem or have any ideas on what it may be?
I looked at the linkages under the shift knob and they are all connected and in tact.
i also moved the linkages on top of the transmission and both moved the shift knob.

Might be a busted roll pin or if you're really unlucky, the shift forks.

Try the roll pin first. It is the cheapest and easiest solution: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-fix-linkage-roll-pin-transmission-102830/

we already tore apart the console the linkage there is cool. we had two guys, one on the tranny moving the two (idk what to call them) things that attach to the linakge cables. moving those moved the cable in the console. one was springy the other wasnt.

i think we are going to do the roll pin. for startrs.... still looking for ideas.
