Exclamation pop sound :(

I have a 06 ss/SC. While ago I'd get a pop sound from my front end. I'd only get it when I down shifted hard now I get it when I down shift or if the car jerks or if I'm on a hill and I reverse out of a hill. It's not loud but I can for sure hear it when the windows are down. Only thirexentng I have catless dp. Any help.would be awesome.
.

I didn't wanna make a new post so ill add it here.

Recently I've been having rpm problems. Every time I come to a stop my rp..s bounce. I came to a stop today at a red light and it bounced so bad it stalled and this isn't the first time it happened. Not to long ago I cleaned the mad. When it stalled and started back up my fuel gauge said it was on e but after turning it off and back on it went back to normal " was on a hill when it stalled" any help would be awesome.

Possible you destroyed a motor or transmission mount, unlikely but that fits the instances and sounds you're getting.

See thats what I'm thinking now. I've been having lot of movement from the motor.. jerks pretty good when Accelerating and letting off. Possible.

Pretty easy to check the front trans mount, rear one is under there a bit.

Well I had a Guy look at it and he said nothing looked wrong with them or feel wrong. But no one in the area realty has worked on a ss/SC. O5slowline said a Cv joint?

CV joint would be most noticeable in full lock, you can do that in an empty parking lot. Just find a spot you can do circles in, turn the wheel all the way left, drive forward at a slow pace keeping the wheel in lock, do the same all the way right, if you hear clicking your CV joints are shot. If not look elsewhere.

Could be that, just think about when the noise happens and what could possibly be making that noise.

I have the same noise and had it on my 06 SS/SC as well. The noise never went away until the clutch was replaced. It is my opinion that the clutch pressure plate is watch causes thet noise you are hearing. Although I have the same noise and have had it in the past on both balts it has never caused an issue. I have the upgraded GMPP Clutch (about 30k on it) and just installed the ZZP mounts and ZZP axles so neither of those are an issue.
You will be fine.

Check your sway bar links for play. Make sure that the bolts holding them to the bar are not loose. I had a similar problem and all I did was tighten the bolts using a 18mm open end and a 18mm deep socket.

you sure the sound isnt more of a click sound? this is a common problem with the axles. the fix is to either re-torque the axle nut or replace the axle.
