Quick Ingalls Torque Dampener Question
Hey guys, just a quick question on the Ingalls TD..
Can it be used on an auto?
If so, two more questions..
How do you install it and what'll it help with? Will it benefit me? I seem to have a good deal of torque steer initially, and it drives me crazy. Will this help?
Thanks!

yeas it will work for an auto but it doesn reduce torque steer. LIKE i said it dampens the movement of the engine to put more power to the wheels.....in turn a LITTLE less wheelhop and if anything now that i think about it it would create MORE torque steer
i have the ingalls stiffy on my ss/sc but its a five speed. as for torque steer, i have equal length drive shafts so i dont have to worry about that. but it dramatically decreased wheel hop, and really helps on take off. hooks up a lot better now. basically its a shock that mount between your engine mount, and the actual body of the car, so it reduces the shock on the engine when you accelerate.
i just installed pedders and rack spacers, and in third gear i had mad tq steer.
no longer there.
just some food for thought.
btw i had an ingalls tq dampener on my last 2.2 sc and it didn't get rid of tq steer just minor wheel hop, then i went with an actual engine mount
