Rattling Clutch

I had my clutch replaced at the dealership a few months ago. Ever since then when I'm sitting idling out of gear and the clutch out it makes a rattling noise, sorta like metal clunking maybe 2 ticks / second. If I press in the clutch, it stops. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I'm going to take it back to the dealership to have it looked at but nonetheless i'd like to know what they messed up.

Chatter comes from the operator slipping the clutch and it causes heat and warpage. Also if the clutch disc gets wet or such it will expand and do this also. You might need a new clutch...

I had the same problem on my blazer extreme.. and it was the throw-out bearing. Never been into a FWD tranny though, so I dont know if thats what it is, or if it even has one. Just a thought

well its not his throwout bearing because it goes away when he presses the clutch pedal in...could be that the release finger height is uneven, warped disc or pressure plate or contaminated disc. thats it....go back to gm
