the shifter goes but wen you let out the clutch it doesnt move. it makes a very slight whirlling sound but no grinding or clunking sounds. all forward gears seem to be ok. my clutch started slipping afew months ago so i was gonna replace that wen i get back from florida in 3 weeks.

does anybody think it might just be the clutch or something internal with the trans?

Sounds internal even with a slipping clutch it should still move if the forward gears work. Really the only major difference between reverse and the forward gears is an idler gear to transmit the torque the other way. It's been like 2 years since I've taken a trans apart I can't remember much anymore lol.

Syncro maybe, sounds like the dog teeth aren't making contact.

 

Maybe your supercharger stopped spinning backwards causing your reverse to fail

 

y would the sc spin backwards if it runs off the crank?
