Shifter adjustment?

Recently my car has started to block me from going into third or fourth. This happens rarely (about once per drive). I have to go back to neutral and then it goes in just fine. This is when I'm driving calmly through town, no fast shifting at all.

Any ideas? Could it be my shifter cables need some adjustment and if so, how is that done?

Thanks

Put the shifter in neutral. Then pull this clip up with a screw driver so it loosens from the cable. It pops up only an inch, it doesn't fully come off so make sure that doesn't happen! Then adjust the shifter (it should move back n forth freely without the cable it self moving) till the shifter sits straight. You can use a bubble leveler to see if it's straight if you want. Then push the clip back down to lock it. If this don't help, then you have a syncro issue. Take it to the dealer.
