it's just a solid black piece no holes for a mounting bolt? Is the inside round?

A lot of people have this so it might be install error

 

nope, u mite b rite i mite of messed up, but im begining to think its faulty cuz its spinning from the ball itself the whole metal piece

TWM love! Anyway, I doubt it's faulty. My car was the first time I've ever installed an STS and you'd be surprised.. I mean, I read the directions, didn't understand.. I came here and asked for help, didn't understand.. Read the directions again, didn't understand.. Then fucked with it for a bit and was like - Ohhhhhhh!

 

ya but it spins from the ball itself ive tried everythin i can think of n still nuttin. ive pm'd the ark vendor to see wuts up hopefully i should know by tomorrow

 

well take a pic of exactly the way it's sitting in your car right now

first you said it was the black thing spinning now you're saying it's the ball

the big ass black piece wen it turn it sometimes hits the side of the gear box and i can put it into first or second gear with out turnin it one way or another

 

it's supposed to hit the right side cause that's where your supposed to lift for the reverse lockout

 

 

no it hits the left side were first n second gear r so wen im drivin n i try to shift from 1 to 2 i cant sometime if the **** turn. ima take a vid n put it up tomorrow so u guys c wut i mean

ino but i was watchin a movie.

 

that black piece is the reverse lock out...should be facing towards 5th and reverse, not first and 2nd. and you have to lift it up to clear the gate.

 

i no but it shouldnt b turnin tho thats wut im gettin at. i need to no how to make it stop
