Short Throw Shifter - which is best?

I am looking at getting a short throw shifter for my 05 ss/sc balt (for the quicker shifting as well as just fixing the crap the previous owner did to it; shift pattern screwed, purple cloth boot falling apart, hideous bootlegged 8ball knob...).

However, when looking at all the options, they all claim about the same throw reduction and similar height reductions. I'm new to modding, so don't know the brands by reputation and can only assume the cheaper brands are lower quality. Does anyone have experience with various brands or can make any suggestions for me?

I've looked at Hurst, B&M, Ark, Manzo, some obvious knock off cheapies, and TWM. Going by what I've read, TWM seems to be one of the more popular and higher quality options, which is why it costs so much more. I also like that it comes with the knob (which I'll probably replace anyway, but current special is this is free), optional leather or alcantar shift boot, bushings (free with current special), and an optional cable clamp.

Any suggestions, even if it's a brand I haven't seen yet are welcome. I apologize if this is elsewhere, I wasn't able to find a tread on this specifically.

I have the ottp shifter and it's great I can't complain at all. If you search around on Google you will find many reviews on most of the shifter you mentioned just add cobalt ss and they should pop up

OTTP and BPS are likely the two best options for Cobalts.

Is that OTTP knob interchangeable? Just curious. Also a lot cheaper. I'll have to look at that one more.

I personally prefer the TWM myself. Its probably the nicest shifter I've had. Before this I had the ARK one, and it was also good.

The BPS is great. Also finished in black so it doesn't stand out.

Just finished installing my bps .Love it! I got the black finish with the stainless knob. Looks great, easy install and great shifts .Knob, shifter and clamp for about 275$, so a good deal as well .It also includes the base bushings for free .

I have the OTTP that I recently installed. Great short shifter IMO. Installation was easy... less than an hour.... and looks great. I also have a shift boot from redlinegoods ..... black with red stitching.

Here is the OTTP in my car...

I have the bps and it's a nice setup especially with the solid mounts and cable clamps.
