Angry Snap ring on right side axle?

WHAT THE ****!!?!?!? I sold my axles to Hatrickstu, but before I could ship them I have to get the right side axle disconnected from the black shaft that comes out the back of the transmission. Theres a ******* huge stupidly thick snap right holding the axle to the shaft. I went out and spent $25 on a pair of snap ring pliers and they open the ring, but theres no room for the ring to expand, so it just opens a tiny little bit and then slips off the pliers. HOW THE **** DO YOU GET THAT LITTLE **** OFF THERE!?!?! I SWEAR I'M GOING TO CUT THE ******* SHAFT!!!!

Thats the ******* clip that makes me want to kill something!!!

I never took that off when I pulled my axles man... just use a flat prybar to break em loose at that bearing where they come together.

it will just slip out. Lubricate it with wd40, let it sit for bit and it will slide out if you hit it with a mallet (no need to take snap ring out).. I went through that too, the first time i tried to take the axle out of the 1/2 shaft thingny.

Hope that helps.

A pry bar works wonders man. Jiggle it around a bit, wedge a prybar behind the big thick part of the axle and pop her out. Easy day.

See, son of a bitch! I tried using a pry bar when I was blind with rage yesterday, but my dad stopped me and said I would break it. I shouldn't have listened to him I'm gonna go use my biggest pry bar and rip that mother ****** out!!! Then melt it down... wait, no I won't melt it. I'll send it to Hatrickstu.

You guys were right! I just blasted it with WD-40, then smacked it with a rubber mallet a few times, and it popped right out. Thanks guys

No problem dude. What I don't get, is that gm never put any lube/anti seize in there . Imagine, if you go to pull that about in another couple of years for the first time. It will be corroded togethere
