trust me, wider stickier tires will solve about 90% of it. I didnt know what torque steer was until i went to these crappy nexus DD tires.

you need shims for the steering rack, it will help with torque steer and bump steer. contact qwikredline on this forum, he makes them.

so i was too lazy to read 3 pages, but i had the same problem. my mechanic re-did my alignment and toed out the wheels just a couple degrees. i can't believe how much it helped. seriously, torque steer is almost gone and now it is a lot better in the quarter and from start.

Are there any products out there that help reduce or possibly eliminate torque steer, or does anyone have any idea what might help? I am looking into a 300+whp daily driver and do not want to add anymore power until I solve this problem. What happens if my dad decides to pass a car and the steering wheel gets yanked out of his hand, thats what I'm worried about. I know to expect it but no one else does.

Thanks for your help.
Nope, you won't be to get rid of it.

All FWD vehicles have torque steer to some degree. The more power going to the front wheels the worse it'll be obviously. Like someone else said just have two hands on the wheel and you should be fine.

He was commenting on my story about the girl smashing her car into the guard rail with the OWNED comment... it wasn't even directed at the OP.

I guess you don't remember my torque steer thread then... Ok so you want a useful post: All FWD cars have torque steer and there's not much you can do about it. Just don't slam the gas in 1st and 2nd. I heard it's best to roll into the throttle for 1st and 2nd. Then mash the gas for the rest of the gears.

I don't really pay too much attention to much that you say. Most of it is ridiculous...

Captain obvious, don't state the previously stated.

couple of things to check: if the trailing inner bushing on the front lower control arm is damaged or broken (happens a lot) the car will lead one way or the other. If its dropped, (lowering springs) then the rack needs to be raised. If its hopping, you need anti-vibe rotating engine mounts )PM me or email OTTP) and if you are not sure of the alignment check it especially square! Abd as someone here posted it is a fwd and it will ltq steer and you have some fine whp numbers there and poor tires! TQ steer, well , i find it kinda fun... (not as much fun as a rwd but thats life

The tune is staying I just changed it in first and second now instead of smoking the tires it goes. I don't need a smoke show I just want the other guy to be roasting his ttires while i'm already half way down the track and just hit 3rd where it kicks into 100% power.

I know what you mean. The last few days I been driving my moms 9-3 with the 2.0T and a 6 speed manual. Granted it is less HP and Torque than my TC but has very little torque steer when compared to my TC.

FYI I love the Saab 9-3 with the 6 speed!! 2600 rpm at 80! Only if it weighed 400 lbs less.
