Traction Control Question For Techs
Traction Control Question For Techs
I gotta quick question. I have a 06 Cobalt SS 2.4 Auto. Randomly my traction control light is turning on and my car is shifting hard as ****. Not in a good way. Then it will turn back off randomly and work fine. I cant seem to figure out whats causing this. I have had computers hooked up to it to see what it will pick up and cant figure out anything. Any Clue?
Here are my mods just in case:
Eibach Springs
Corsa Catback
Header Downtube from CA
B&M Shift plus
Body stuff...grills headlights blah blah blah
Any one have any clues on what could be causing this? there is no ABS lights coming on nothing. Thanks for the help

stock wheels....has done it since got the car. only a few times before 50000 mile mark. does it every day almost now. I have had to replace a hub but did it before then....no codes either
Alright, now I got a code...It says cylinder 4 misfire....changed plugs and swapped coils...still doing the misfire and t/c light. My plugs look burnt around the base of the white part. (Cyl 3 and 4 for sure...didnt take out 1 or 2) The Plugs arent that old. still look good but just have a brown ring around the white base. Throttle body is pretty dirty...not sure if that could throw just a cyl 4 misfire or not. I did have a jet mass air in but I put the stock back...no change. Any idea?
Oh yeah....it looks like the heat from my header has melted the plastic cover over all the wires to my coils....the wires themselves arent burnt..just that crappy black cover.... Please I cant figure this out.
