I kmow this would be a lot of work but has anyone converted an automatic to a stick yet.

I dont think anyones done it...but it wouldnt be too incredibly hard.

Cut a hole for your clutch pedal, remove the auto shifter, replace it with your manual.

ditch your tcm, bolt it up...

Is the hole for the cluth already there? Or do I have to cut it out

That may be true but how many cobalts do you know of that had an automatic to manual conversion.? One of a kind. I did it in my Integra.rould I need to get a new ecu

Yeah, but manual cobalts aren't anything special. You are just converting it to something that other cobalts have. Now, if you went RWD or AWD or something like that, that would be different. Needless to say, that would involve alot of money.
