Well i decide to punch 2nd goin 40mph and i floor it take it to redline and shift to 3rd and third doesnt engage...i didnt miss the gear,i hit it,but didnt engage..i just installed the excedy s3 clutch and broke it in 500miles...ive got 670miles on it now,and i think my 3rd gear syncros are toast..i can hear a noise comin from the tranny when ur driving..its like a clunging sound like somethings broken inside..would warranty cover it?

 

if it was a synchro it would grind and be hard to put in all the time and would eventually pop out on its own

 

I busted mine to and the car sound just like you explained your is doing, I’m just waiting for someone to sell a LSD tranny

 

all my other gears work fine besides 3rd...i can easily put it in 3rd,but when u press the gas it just free revs,doesnt want to grab

 

sounds like it may be shot take it to the dealer see what they say

 

Shot?like totally dead?i do have the excedy clutch,donno if they will say anything

 

i have the same prob but with its my 5th gear the dealer kicked me out when they found out i had a stage 3 clutch masters

 

well the dealer i go to is pretty cool with me,so hopefully they might waive me

I don’t drive mine because I don’t want whatever is rattling in my tranny to breaks my case and my clutch gets full of trans fluids

thankx man...ill need it..it just came out of the dealer on wensday evening and its gonna go back,and hopefully they will take it back..thing is i dont have alot of miles on the clutch and it hasnt been abused at all

 

Well here is an update...car is in the shop and while drivng there my power streerin desides to take a crap on me,so now i dont have power steering anymore,got a running lean code,random misfire code,clogged cat,tranny shot,tranny leaking,and warranty expires next month...WOW

I think its time to leave the car and go over to the dark side..hahhaha

ANOTHER UPDATE:

Well Dealer called me and had some bad news for me..they told me to come in because it doesnt look so good..i was like great..well anyways

went to dealer(LATTOF aka crate engine depot)and they showed me my car...i have a hole in my tranny the size of a finger...tranny's gone...also since the tranny got fuked up so bad,it fucked up my EXCEDY S3 Clutch..so now i got no clutch and no tranny...hopefully warranty will cover it since the tranny fucked up everything and not the clutch..the guy told me he will talk to his boss and see what can be done since the clutch didnt do anything,the tranny's fluid pushed threw the wall of the housing and cracked the housing and went into the clutch assembly..WOW

Hey when this happened to you where you able to drive your car. And when you drove it did the gears slip? I have the same prob but mine is in 5th gear, and I just hope my clutch is not gone to cause when mine broke I drove it home and all the gear would grab good and responded perfect just not 5th.when this happened did your tranny drip fluid. When parked. Because mine doesn’t.

 

exact same thing happened..all gears worked fine except 3rd...i did drive it to the shop and thats when my power steering pump failed(electrical in our cars),and tranny fluid didnt drip till i came to the dealer which was about 25miles away from my house..prior to that car sat in my garage over night and it didnt drip fluid till i took it in the morning.so ur clutch might be soaked in tranny fluid,cuz my excedy was..
