tranny leak?

tranny leak?

The bar the runs from I guess the tranny to the passanger side wheel...
wtf is it?
I have fluid all over it and where it comes out there is some moist fluid there...it is brown.

any idea what kind of fluid to use in our tranny? what gm wants us to use...
and where to check/fill fluid level?

My suggestion, if you can't even identify the axle, is to take it to a mechanic and let them check/top off the fluid, and GET THE LEAK FIXED instead of just filling fluid to let it just leak back out.

well i can't get it in to get fixed till monday...
and I have changed tranny fluid in my srt4 I had before this.
It's not that hard...was just looking for some info on it..
