tranny oil??

tranny oil??

How many quarts of oil does the tranny take? i went to they told me it took 5 quarts maybe 6? and each quart is $15.

is this right?

our trannies only take 1.8 i believe so get two quarts.

when i heard him say 5 i was like wtf hold on ill be back

haha I'd ask him if he was high. When I called in for my tranny oil they had two quarts sitting there for me.

what you need tranny oil for btw? You swap a tranny in? I'd call again and ask a different person. lol but I only got 2 quarts into mine. so I assume there no different

ya and the 1.8quarts is dry, it will actually take about 1.6 - 1.7quarts.

i bought three quarts just to be safe, they gave me saturn oil.
its the same **** i think.

and no its cause i swapped my engine and all my tranny oil leaked out when i took out the engine.

Has anyone used royal purple max gear 75w90 trans fluid or should i just use trans fluid from the dealer....im putting in my new clutch and i might as well change the trans oil while im under there

Use the GM trans oil. all those types of tranny oil are thicker. Gm is the best IMO
