Trans fork help!

Trans fork help!

So i found out now when i go to shift in to3rd and 4th when i let up on the clutch it grinds and kicks out of gear this is due to the fork gone bad for 3rd and 4th (ive been told) so will somebody plz type out or pictures if you have a tutorial for the trans fork i am very new to the cobalt and have a supercharger waiting but the fork needs to be fixed first


Engine 2.2l Manual 5sp
(3 speed as of rn )

If you don't have experience with trans work, I wouldn't attempt that on your own. You'd be better off buying another trans and swapping the whole thing out

thats an internal transmission problem. it may be a worn out fork, however a bad shift sleeve or worn 4th gear clutching teeth can also cause this. if your unsure, take the car to a transmission shop and have the transmission rebuilt, or put a used one in it.
