. I want to either build a great forged engine or prep it for boost
. Prob a hanh race caft turbo stage 3 kit at 8 psi and full exhaust from hanh. The reason I want a trany swap is for higher spead potential. This car will be reliable and a good cruiser with some *****.

Sweet, GL. Not sure, but the tranies should be interchangable. And if they arn't, you can always get it custom fab'd to fit.
EDIT: I think you have a while before you need a tranny upgrade...

Perhaps I'm missing something. What kind of trans do you have right now in your 2.2? Is it the auto or manual? Either way, you already have the same exact trans that's in the 2.4! If you have a manual Getrag and you want the the SS/SC F23 trans, then that is possible.

for all the effort of swapping a trans, go big or go home. either have an auto from an impala fitted, like the GM drag cars do... OR have your f35 (correct model) hardened internally and made stronger.

Sorry, F35. My bad.
If you really want to do that, you can go cheap by picking one up used, probably from a junk yard, and just swap it in. Probably cost you no more the $500. But I would take my own advise, get one out of a junker, and send it out for a performance overhaul (hardening as others are referring to it). Find a performance trans shop in your area. Or, send it to IPT. They did my 4T45E.
