SS/SC motor front and SS/SC motor in the back! drop the twin charging just 700whp between the 2 motors, If I had more money than sense I'd do it

I've heard of it done in Hondas and VWs, i don't know how well it'd work on a cobalt but I read about like a 91 vw cabriolet with 2 motors one front one back and it was described as being "WRX like" i think it'd be fun to have something ridiculous like that

buy the saab aero. its the lnf motor and awd. strip it and remove convertible hardward to bring the weight down, could be a fast car.

i'm going to bet if you could somehow get a hold of a AWD 9-3 Aero here in the states, you might could fabricate its drivetrain to work... it'd be a long shot, and would be the ONLY way I could see this even having a chance to work... their 6-speeds HAVE been mated to LSJs

or did they make the 9-3 AWD here in the states?

He has a great point, ive seen s2k powered rwd EG civic hatches with nissan S13 front and rear subframes and rear diffs. Ive seen AWD civic hatches before and ive seen rwd SR20DET powered civics. I would love a rwd cobalt lol but i cant afford to mod my POS LS cobalt let alone fab up a rwd cobalt

If the evo or Sti is stock? Yes he will from a roll. Neither is fast from a roll stock.

Actually, that car was beat to **** and was passed around like a 2$ ***** because it WONT pass emmissions no matter what. lol.

I was a Tibby owner and was on the original RDtiburon.com website and the sharkracing.com/forum. They dont exist anymore because some larger hyundai Forum ate them both up and ingested them into the new hyundai culture

That 2 motor tibby was pretty awesome but It could not handle for beans. Imagine taking a dumb bell and putting wheels on the front and back of it. Thats how the thing drove. It was a Drag monster. The front motor made ~320whp and the rear made ~300whp. To LNFs could do it without any serious work done to the motors. getting them to work together would be damn near impossible. Not sure how they got it to work in that Tibby but it didnt have good gas mileage. lol.

I believe it ran 10's on all season tires haha.

In 2004-05 a shop built a 2.0 automatic tiburon with a turbo and it ran 10's FWD. No need for AWD to do it but it was cool. Theres a video of it on the net, its a red 03-04 tibby. its racing a Supra with a big single.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgnCtkrmWUs Twin motor 97-99 tibby.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bs5waqwXmw 10 sec Tibby not AWD and its a auto 2.0 turbo.

Now the question is.... Do you make a car completely undriveable for anything but drag racing as is the AWD twin engine tibby, or spend less money making this APE tiburon and still have a somewhat street driveable car?

EDIT: Also want to note they never changed their 4 cylinder motor since 1997. Its the same Beta motor thats been put in ALL tiburons up to 2006, elantras too. BetaI was used from 1997-2001, BetaII was used from 2003-2006. Difference between BetaI and BetaII is CVVT (continuous variable valve timing). And a 97-2001 tiburon weighs in at about 2650 - 2750Ibs from factory.
