I have an 06 SS/SC that is almost 2 months old now, at first when i would start out in first i would hear this popping/pinging noise from the transmission...now it is started to get alot worse, alot louder and it does it just normal driving. Does anyone know what this could be and should i get it to the dealer really quick??

 

ha thats funny b/c i havent had mine that long and im hearing clunking/popping noises too, but i thought it might be a balljoint/tierod gone bad...not kool at all

 

Does It Pop While Driving Or When Turning?

 

no it doesn't make a popping noise when i turn. it sounds like its def. coming from the tranny, and its a loud pinging nosie almost like how the exhaust sounds like its ticking, but its not the exhaust either...
