How do you **** up 4th? It's just straight down. If anything you should be ******* up your 2nd to 3rd if you can't shift.

it's not impossible, you just have to have a good driving position. i have a feeling that you sit really far back, with the seat somewhat reclined. not saying the gangster lean, but just not as close as you should be. it's def. possible that it was second, and no, the car wouldn't explode, but it would feel like you slammed the brakes and it would probably make the tires chirp. did you mash the clutch immediately?

IF I did do you think I've done any damage and should take it to the dealer immediately to be inspected?

If you clutched immediately then you were in 2nd, not 4th. N00b.

I don't think he has the F35 trans. Correct me if i'm wrong. And no don't go to the dealer unless there is something obviously wrong with the car.

I don't think you would damage the tranny that bad, but there would deff be wear on it. As long as you didn't leave it in gear you said u jammed the clutch in so its probably be fine. work on shifting before you try to impress your friends.

just cus it made a noise and you slammed 2nd, doesn't mean it broke. its probably fine, just don't shift from the top of third into second.

And see guys this is why I don't do performance mods. This is why I DON'T RACE! OF course I'm a noob to it! I don't do it. I'm not experienced in it, and when I try I always seem to miss 4th. That's why I don't race and I stay the way I am. Now can you guys quit hounding me about going performance?? I'm not the racing type. I don't qualify for it. I don't "show off" like I "know" how to race. So me- not rice. Or racer. Just me with my own unique styled car.

the top of 3rd is 80 for you? granted i have a higher rev limiter but my top of 3rd is around 110.

but yea, i also think you went to 2nd. not for nothing, but how do you miss 4th? that's the easiest shift there is and you do it all the time?

when you say you "miss" 4th what exactly do you mean.

It should be fine, just don't speed shift until you get the 4th gear down at slower speeds. Not being a dick but if your calling yourself a noob i would be jamming gears like paul walker

No I do it all the time if I'm trying to go fast like that. By missing I mean I shift but it didn't go into gear. I'm still in N revving I have the F23 transmission that's why.

I'm a very fast paced person I eat fast I shift and clutch fast I do everything in my life fast except drive ironically and it's all a habbit so I think that's my problem. First time driving a manual in my friends sentra my friends like do it slow ur not racing LOL last night i clutched faster than i was shifting and ended up grinding 4th -_- I need to learn to slow things down. Damn my ADHD and my hyper active energy making me do things fast

I'd think 2nd would be the hardest gear to miss???

how do you miss 4th? if you do it driving everyday, how do you miss it just going faster? go find a parking lot that's empty and practice shifting fast until you get it down. until then, don't do it at 80 mph

SOunds like you are shifting faster than you can disengage the clutch. Try doing it a little slower until you can get the whole thing down.

To me it sounds like you havn't quite learned the car yet. Keep practicing.
