I used the cheap Bilstein v dub inserts for a while for ott, and when ott started doing the copies they did what they did...2010 on iirc.

Blazin has the good mounts, all my billet ones had the good inserts in 2009 and I paid 58 dollars for the insert alone, so go figure how tough it was to get parts back then...The Paul has some orginals , the stock housing with a double insert, still good... awesome. James Allen had one of the first mounts, he was in Germany, but he sold the car some time ago.

The cheap insert doesnt work, I have helped a few folks with bad ott mounts but at some point the bleeding has to stop lol.... Our all steel mount is working well, the f23 folks are 100% satisfied so far, and I have done two quirky Ion 2 03 mounts. weird what saturn were doing bitd...
it's my understanding that these inserts must be pressed in. not all people have access to a place with a press like that.
what is your idea on people sending their ottp mounts in and paying you to press the good ones in? i realize you can't keep warranty ottp's sales, as that hurts your pocket book, but if you were paid would you do it?

it takes all of 10 minutes, I would be happy to do it, but realistically there has to be a better way locally. Either a press at a machine shop, or a dealer with the Kent Moore service tools for the lower control arm, that can be adapted to install the insert easily enough... not trying to duck it, but shipping costs so much these days and the border gets in the way.

I got a tow hook returned for warranty the other day, cost me 40 dollars in UPS charges for crossing the border. If shipped usps would have cost nothing, but the customer did not know differently...I could also send a billet one on return exchange I have a few alloy ones here used that could be a slave for that. But still shipping both ways....anyone can pm or email me me and I can maybe help them find a dealer with the right tools locally...

darn you ya canuck! seems reasonable though. i didn't realize it was that simple of a process. I also wasn't sure if it would properly fit since....its a copied setup.
