If not, is the 2.4 SKY block different than the2.4 Cobalt block? I'm looking into swapping an Ecotec into a RWD platform. I need to figure out what block I need to use.

Isn't the RWD block different because its mounted longitudinally? The mounts would be in different places.

The mounts would be in different locations, but the mounting points (threaded holes in the block) should still be there. Either way the mounts will have to be custom made for my application. All I need to know is what engine blocks have the same bolt pattern as the SKY/Solstice trans. I might have to go with a 2.4 out of a SKY which isn't a big deal, but it will be harder to find and cost a little more.

thats not quite the same thing man. youre talking about a project that was way beyond what this guy wants to do. he wants to swap it into a rwd platform not make the balt rwd. its too bad its not as easy as the focus rwd kit. kugel did a hell of a job on that.

Well my friend at the GM dealer confirmed all LE5 blocks will bolt up to the SKY trans. So I guess I'm looking for a 2.4. Thanks guys.
