I am curious whether a SS S/C shifter will fit my cobalt LS. I hate the way the stocker looks, and i don't want to put anything aftermarket on it, as they look to short for my likings.

Also if it fits would i lose reverse lockout?

 

it will fit, you have to grind down the white ball and it will be about 2 inches taller....i still have my premade one.

 

Really? why would it be taller. Is that just how it is on the SS or does the LS have a differerent set up that makes it sit up higher

 

No it won't fit because of the reverse lockout.

This is why when you buy aftermarket shifters, you have to specify whether or not you have the Saab tranny.

 

i promise you it will and does fit, ill sell it to you for a dollar plus shipping. the ss/sc base is alot shorter than the ls, thats why it sits alot taller

hockeyman0920 can vouche for me cause its his old shifter and he watched me put it in
