GM Stage 3 Dyno - No HOM, No Nitrous
Just got back from a dyno day at FWDPerformance.com.
Dyno: Dynocom chassis dyno
Temp: 96F
Humidity: 27%
Max IAT : 102
Max IAT2: 154
Max ECT: 196
Log:
06-06-2009_dyno.hpl
06-06-2009_dyno.xls
Performance mods:
RAW 3" Intake
GM Stage 3 PCM, no HOM, no nitrous (essentially stage 2 tune)
GM Stage 3 Pulley
Run 1:
243.1whp@6700rpm
221.2 ft-lbs@4580rpm
Run 2 (dipstick popped out! ):
238.7whp@6300rpm
224.8 ft-lbs@4900rpm
Run 3:
242.3whp@6700rpm
216.8 ft-lbs@5000rpm
Pretty curves:
(crappy camera pic until I get to a scanner)
Video:
I don't know how this dyno compares to others, but I feel the numbers are pretty accurate. In any case, this will be my baseline. Next dyno will be with a 2.8, then finally with the TVS.
I could skip the 2.8, but I feel that with so many people running OTTP Stage 1, it would benefit the community to share my results going from 2.8 to TVS.
Comments and criticism welcome.

great numbers similar setup to mine !! have you tried increasing the rev limiter to 7250 rpms ? thats the only reason i want the gm stage 3 computer. i wont have to worry about bouncing off the rev limiter at 7000 grand in first 1st gear is soo friggin short.
wow just looked at the temp. 96F !! those are fantastic numbers for that temp.

In some cases a dyno will over correct and produce better numbers in warmer weather.

Thanks guys.
I'm not one to make excuses, but my car was misfiring really bad that day, so I told the operator to only wind it up to 6750. I shouldn't have even put it on the rollers but decided to risk it anyway.
About the misfiring: I was getting a P0354 Coil 4 Control Circuit code. I put in new spark plugs and swapped around my coil packs to see if the code would change, but had no success. I finally found it to be a wire (part of the coil 4 circuit as indicated) that had rubbed through and was shorting out when it would make contact with anything. Every time it would short, the car would misfire. Damndest thing.
I plan to go back next month and will re-do this run all the way to 7250, despite the scary IDC and IPW numbers I was seeing that day, since it seems to have still been making power.
I'm almost tempted to invest in valve springs just to experiment with going to 8k with GM S3, but that is probably a very foolish thing to do on these injectors lol.
