has anyone had their alarm lock the car and not been able to start it? tonight it's very windy and i cant start my car cuz it has the alarm on even after i open the car. I called roadside and asked them, they said to lock it and wait 15 mins but that didnt work. anyone have anything that can help me?

 

Lock all the doors manually w/o the remote. Open the driver door w/ the key. Then, hit the unlock button on the panel. I'd try the secondary key if you have one.

Otherwise, I'd consider calling the dealer when you can. I don't have a factory alarm in my cobalt, so I'm not really aware of the quirks/common problems. If your keyless entry remote is dieing I'd consider getting the battery # and replacing that. Not sure if it'll require any programming. Wish I had more, good luck.
